Well it looks as if Steiner Scopes are back. Just was looking on Optics Planet and they are carrying Steiner scopes. I thought they were history and it looks like they are back in production. I haven't seen them for years and I didn't know if they discontinued them or not.

AFAIK, the new Steiner scopes are a totally new design, and are made in the Burris factory in Colorado. Steiner has been showing samples at the last two SHOT Shows. I had them in my hands there for a short while. The glare performance and aberrration correction were very good. It's hard to say anything else without having more time to test one.

Outdoor Life just reviewed one of the Predator Extreme scopes. Seemed like an editing hack job to me. I think OL's optics reviews have slipped during the last few years.

Beretta needs to step up their marketing. It's difficult to get any accurate or meaningful information about these scopes from the Steiner or Beretta websites. Even finding a company website that lists the scopes is a challenge.

Here's the only one I found:
Predator Xtreme Riflescope 3x-12x-56mm | Steiner -- The Binocular-Specialists

Vendor websites aren't any better.

Steiner predador extreme: 3-12x56mm-$899
There are seven others that I found other than this one and some of those ad military/tactical Starting at $2149. The cheapest that I found is a predator extreme in 2.5-10x42mm for $799

What rifle ? That's a lot of cash. I have one of Weavers new Tactical FFP MIL/MIL 30mm scopes 3x13x50MM . Its glass is awesome I have it mounted on my AR-15 .

I like the Weaver are very nice scope for the price but they are not a Steiner. We have had good luck with the Weaver I like the Vortex PST more but again they are not a Steiner.

The quality if the Steiner is very nice. They are comparable to the USO, Premier, S&B, Kahles, and other like these.
