Southern Mule Deer

    Got a nice southern mule deer. Their typical range is from Orange County Ca down through Baja California. Although I had some opportunities at some bigger deer they just didn't play out properly. The success rate in this zone is 7% which the majority of those bucks are forkies. I filled both my tags on the last weekend fortunately. This is where you say it's not the size of the deer but the challenge of a month long season to finally bag two bucks.

    Oh and I put a huge scratch on my bolt so I feel better about actually hunting with the new gun now:)

    Nice job ! I know the challenge of bagging a buck here in SoCal can be difficult when your competing with mountain lions !
