[QUOTE="pills, post: 865182, member: 22576"] Myself, a buddy and both our sons drew eastern Wy antelope tags this year. These were 1 point unit tags with mostly private land and some walk in areas. We had gotten permission on a couple ranches before heading out and we also heard the size and numbers were down this year due to winters and drought. We knew that it was going to be a tough hunt anyway with flat terrain and shots for the boys limited to 350Yrds. Well it turned out ok as we crawled to within 230 yrds of a buck on the first day and my son took his first big game animal 2 days shy of his 14th birthday. He made a perfect shot with his Ruger American .243 with Zeiss Conquest 3x9. I was able to tag one at 250+/- the next day. My buddy and his son both tagged out on day 3 so it ended up being a great time all around.
