I love the long shot.

If they are too close I like to make them move before dispatch.

My favorite calibers are the .338 Lapua and Weatherby in 30-378.

I heard it was ok to talk about hunting here.

I eat everything I kill,except non-russian boars.

Ravens gotta eat too.

Thanks,
Red

Hey! first time on this Lone Range forum, and don't know alot about how it works yet!

But what I would like to know is this. I am looking to get a elk gun this year and I have two in mind. the 30 378 wby. mag. or the 7.82 Lazzeroni??? Witch is the better gun, and I will be reloading for them.

I have been hunting for about 40 years and this year I'm going to Co. for elk. Its my first time and I would like to have a gun that will reach out there and still have enough knock down once it gets there. I have shot deer 700yds with 270 and 264 with no problem, but when it comes to an elk well, that's alot bigger then an deer.

First of all, welcome to Long Range Hunting C.E.G2860.

You might try posting your questions in the General Forums for starters. You'll get a lot more responses over there as not everybody reads the Members Introduction Forum.

Good luck with your upcoming elk hunt.:)
