I'm going to be starting a build in the near future and had a couple questions mabye someone could help me with.
I'm getting a lightweight gun built for backpack hunting and was thinking a 300 or 7mm short mag.If i go with the 300 I'll shoot 180 or 190 bergers and 7mm 168 or 180 bergers.Can someone give me the coal their using for these.I'd like to know if I can use a short action with these bullet combo's or do I need a long action
I have a 700 rem long action But I dont care if I use it for this.My big thing is if I have to use a long action would it be better to go 7mm rem mag or 300 win.If I can use a short action and fit the shells in the magazine I.'ll go with that.
