share your 6.5-.284 load data !!!

Just started working up loads for my 6.5x284 norma savage 116 FCSS 24"

So far i havent had any luck with 140 bergers at 100 yards, i tried RL 17 & Retumbo.

Tried 130 Bergers and found a sweet spot:
Lapua Brass
51.5 RL17
.090" jump
3100 fps

0.45" groups at 100, havent had chance to load a bunch and shoot out there yet.

Rifle: Savage LRH chambered in 6.5x284 (obviously)
Brass: Norma
Primer: FGMM 210M
Powder: H4831SC
Charge: 50.3
Set 0.005 off lands.
2805 FPS
One ragged hole at 100 yds

Tried lots of load combos and settled in on Retumbo with 140 Hunting 140 VLD Bergers, Fed 215 primers, Lapua brass, .075" off the lands. Recent lots of Retumbo with 58 gr produce 2990FPS, ES under 10, and have great temperature consistancy using two different rifles with 26" barrels. This load with both rifles produce .25-.5 MOA at 500 yards. For target shooting I like 53 gr. of H4831sc with Fed Match primers.I get 2840FPS out of 26".

51.5 H4831sc
F210M
140 VLD
2930-2950 from 26" 8 twist
Not max load.

Perfect speed. That's exactly what I'm looking for in my new 6.5-284. Mine is a 26" Broughton 5C. I'm going to go with 7828SSC instead of 4831. Hoping to hit between 2900-2950. Accuracy first though. If it's 1 hole @ 2875. That's fine too

Checking in. lightbulb

Just had a new Kreiger chambered up in one of my BAT 1K comp guns to plink LR/ELR steel with. Was going to sell, but can't find any takers. I have a MESS of different powders in my stock pile, but was going to start with H4831SC first.
