[ QUOTE ] Hello, What is the difference between the Rem 700 "Sendero", "Sendero Special" and a "PSS"? Thanks in advance. James [/ QUOTE ] The PSS is the Remington "Police Sniper System" rifle. The stock is from H-S Precision, and has a full sized forend. They are no longer called PSS (for Politically Correct reasons)... they are now called the 700-P (Police). They are available in long and short action lengths. Go here. http://www.remingtonle.com/rifles/700p.htm The first Sendero was a long action rifle in an H-S Precision stock that was very similar to the PSS stock. It has a beavertail forend, but with "finger groves" near the barrel on both sides, and the forarm was a little thinner (for smaller hands??). It was available in standard calibers like the 25-06, plus magnums. I Don't know of the Sendero "Special". The Sendero-II SF (Stainless Fluted) in the current rifle, with the same stock, available in Magnum cartridges.
