Scope mounting help?

A friend won a Vanguard in 270WSM and wants me to pick out a scope and mount it for him.. I chose a Leupold VX3 4.5-14X40mm ... I'd like to use the Burris Signature Zee rings but I am having trouble finding the bases.. Are all Weatherby's bolt patterns the same?

Also the rings are offered in Med or High... I'm assuming Med will fit the 40mm Obj.. correct?

You will need to get bases for a Howa 1500 Lightning, because that is the manufacturer of the Vanguard rifles. Just make sure it is for the action length of the WSM cartridges. As to the ring height, I have always used the medium rings for a 40mm objective lens scope, but had to opt for high rings for a Simmons Aetech w/ 44mm objective mounted on a Ruger M77 once.
