I really don't want to do this but because of my families financial situation I am selling my rifle. I need to sell this rifle in order to pay some bills. Savage 12 LRP 260: $990.00
Choate Tactical stock $225.00
Troy Industries Sling $35.00
Nightforce heavy steal 20 moa base $114.00
The rifle has about 200 rounds down the tube. The bolt needs to have a new ejector pin and spring installed which I have.
If you are interested please send me a pm. $875.00 shipped to your FFL.
(SCOPE, BIPOD, RINGS and LEVEL are not included)

The rifle shoots great!!!!

All shots were from 100 yrds.
I've had good luck with:

140 Berger
39 grns. RL-17
OAL 2.2690 measuring with a bullet compareter from base to ogive.
LC 308 Brass necked down
4-shot group was .27" I pulled my first shot of my 5 shot group on 2 different loads.

140 Berger
39 grns. IMR-4350
OAL 2.2690
4-shot group was .34" this was the other load that I pulled my first of 5 shots. The first shot landed in almost the same place with both of these loads so I'm pretty sure it was shooter mistake.

140 Berger
39.5 grns RL-17
OAL 2.2695
5-shot group .38"

120 SMK
45 grns. RL-17
OAL 2.2695
5-shot group .50"

I measure outside diameter and then subtract .264, I think that this is the correct way to measure.
I shot these groups prone off of a bipod.
I just received a box of Hornady 129 sst's and a box of Nosler 120 grn BT's and I bought some H4350 to try. My Broker gave me a gift card to Sportsmans Wharehouse, Merry Christmas.

...Kind of, I should have been more specific. I had a savage with the same stock and it did not match up very well. Is it too much to see a pic of the tang/stock from the side? the one I had there was a 1/4" gap that I found to be quite unattractive. Your appears to match up much better from the pics but if its not a lot of trouble one from the side would be nice.

Yes but I'm no expert. A friend and I actually bedded the action to the stock. There is a slight lift at the saftey.
