Is a Sako Action A-3 standard thread or metric and what thread and pitch.

L61R, AIII & AV are all the same thread pitch. 691 & 75 & I believe 85 are all the same pitch. The TRG-S is metric for sure because I had a butcher of a gunsmith friction fit a standard thread for me & this was the result.

I believe the L61R, AIII & AV are indeed 1x16 TPI. Someone may chime in & confirm this.

The L61R and AV are 1.045 X 16 TPI, some of the later ones are 1.00 X 16 TPI.

75 series I action ie .222/.223 is .928" x1.5mm
75 series II and III action are between 1.000 and 1.040 x 16 TPI

Early Sako/Tikka models can be any combination of the above.
