Anybody here have an opinion of the A7? Is it a real Sako,or a watered down version?

The A7 is not watered down in performance. It is simply less expensive to make the plastic stock than the nice laminate or wood stocks.

The barrels come out of the same machining process as all Sakos and Tikkas. There is no culling to go to different models. All Tikkas and Sakos are test fired by hand prior to leaving the factory.

The A7 does have the standard Sako trigger which is still far beyond most factory triggers.

Hope this helps!
