Just read that the tyrant of NY just signed that into law, effective immediately. All these gun-control people just can't see why gun owners are so against registration. It just gives them a roadmap to go get them, and they wonder why people won't admit to having guns in the home in all these "polls". This legislation has no hope of preventing crime, but effectively neutered the legal gun owners. I don't blame ANY legitimate gun owner for not registering their guns,..... I know if I lived there I wouldn't. Looks like a few more liberal governors are tripping over each other trying to have the most restrictive laws of the land, mainly east coast states, but you can bet California won't just sit there, it's going to be a competition. I feel this is the start of it.

Regulation, Registration, Confiscation.

That should be Freedom, Regulation, Registration, Confiscation.

Ohio is currently is currently in the regulation spectrum, while NY just advanced to the high end registration end. You should know all about this, coming from Illinois

Boy you got that right, however I would rather be in Ohio than Illinois. We are the home base of the Washington bunch and are constantly under attack by the radical left who hold the majority of state and local offices. I feel bad for the people of NY. Como's "speech" reminds me of Gobbels in his hour.
These people refuse to look at the facts, and when the courts finaly swing left, we're done. Might be safer in Russia.

Thanks for the info. Good luck. I signed the petition, also ordered ammo today, upgraded my NRA Life membership. Yesterday picked up a new gun and ordered ammo. Not bad for an old retired guy. Hope my two Crimson Trace lasers show up this week.

I personally feel he should consult with the NRA before he does anything. They may have a plan and be willing to expend resources on litigating the matter.

I'm not familiar with his complete credentials but this is an extremely daunting task of combating this law. If he loses, it's on the books and people could be precluded from re-litigating the issue. I think it needs to be handled with the same intensity as People v. Heller. It could easily be a landmark decision in gun control history.

Very good point Archery1973

We only get one shot at this, I hope this pro-bono guy isn't a pro-bozo or we are all headed for a radical downhill descent.

I'm from Upstate NY, my entire family lives there and I have a lot of good friends. I always figured that some day I'd probably end up moving back as my parents age . . . but you know what

To HELL with that state.

The thought of paying taxes in that state that pay the salaries of these idiots would be similar to cutting off my own limbs.

I only wish I had the money to afford a new AR. With these escalated prices, they are out of reach and I don't have one yet. It was next on my list. :-(

Hang in the NY. This sucks! I just sent this to Obummer's subservient Governor Cuomo. I know it won't change his mind, but Nebraska is a great option with lots of hunting options, FYI. Sorry guys!

Governor Cuomo,

I just heard, on Hannity, part of your January 9th speech to your constituents in New York and New York State. It is completely unfactual what you stated about so called assault rifles. You said, and I quote, "No one hunts with an assault rifle". Mr. Governor, I do not know who you get your facts from, or if you are even interested in dealing in facts, but the fact is that a great number of individuals hunt with your so called assault rifles. We have two of them, and neither has been used in a school or theater shooting, but both have been used for hunting purposes only. To address your statement, "no one needs ten bullets to kill a deer" I say this; most of these so called assault rifles are used for varmint hunting, and 10 shots may well be needed for a running coyote depending upon the proficiency of the shooter and the range to said coyote. You say, "End the madness now". I agree.

You see, Governor Cuomo, guns are not the problem, people who use guns incorrectly are. You, however, are choosing to disregard that fact to push your agenda upon the tragedies that have occurred, and furthermore to restrict the freedoms of the constituents in your state. I would not be surprised, if I were you, to see your economy flounder as people emigrate from your constitutionally unfriendly state to more, I don't know, democratic and constitutional states such as my home state of Nebraska.

You, sir, I believe to be a coward. Rather than unleash your anti-gun agenda at a time of regularity, you choose a time of turmoil in our nation and prey upon the fears of others in your state. You have recently deprived many of your constituents of their American freedoms, and if they have not said it, and I am sure they have after reading many of they hunting forums I subscribe to, your are flat wrong.

With Utmost Sincerity,

Joe Kupper

its the you have to pass it to find out whats in it move. they have no exemption for the police making even their weapons illegal. meaning nobody read it or even used their brains to think about it. the thing that sucks is we are out numbered by the brain dead on the east coast. the smart people with common sence cant even vote them out. we are screwed

Can1010

Move west young man. Haven't you been told? Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, etc are full of women, whiskey and gold :D

Amazingly, the Connectiut State Police admit that NO ASSUALT WEAPON WAS FOUND AT THE NEWTOWN SHOOTING SITE....Sandy Hook Elementary.

Only handguns were found and it was a shotgun in the trunk of the Honda that Lanza drove to the school, but I knew that from the video that was posted and has now disappeared, of the State LE clearing a rifle in the parking lot, out of ther Honda's trunk. I closely examined the video with a magnifying glass and it was easy to tell it wasn't an AR but instead a pump shotgun.

Now the State Police has admitted it was, in fact a shotgun and that no Assualt type rifles were used at the Sandy Hook shootings.

However, this is all about Obama and his anti-gun agenda because with an unarmed populus, the citizens have no recourse to thwart a tyranical government, exactly what Obama wants... He wants a socialist republic. An armed public is a great detriment to his end game....

I really wonder just what occured at the Sandy Hook Elementary School. Kids were killed but I wonder who the killer or killers really were.

Never let your vigilance waver. These politicians will stop at NOTHING.
