I've heard a few rumors floating about that these new Ruger Hawkeyes, on many occasions, function like a push feed instead of a proper CRF. Meaning that instead of the round being pushed up in between the bolt face and the extractor it is just pushed in front of the extractor which then snaps over the rim once the bolt is closed. I'm wondering because I've been thinking about adding a Hawkeye chambered in a long action magnum to my arsenal. So, anybody having this problem?

I haven't had that problem and I've had a car load of 77 mk2 s and Hawkeyes .
But some people have more problems with Rugers that you can shake a stick at.
But most people just have great success with them. . If someone works at it they can make anything screw up
Like bobbaling the loading stroke of the bolt .
Pull the bolt straight back till it slams into the bolt stop then straight forward till the round is chambered.
