can you send pics to [email protected]
what do you mean by it has been converted to double action.how many rounds thru barrel what is overall condition of gun.would you be interested in any trades.
thanks
This was a former police or security firm gun that was sold to Century Arms. The CAI name is on the side. They resold them thru distributors.
Most were carried a lot and shot little. this gun is tight in the cylinder so that matches the norm. it has an original LE type holster and speedloader dump with it and one speed loader.
Many police departments bobbed the hammer off until it is flush with the back of the frame and converted the trigger to double action only. that is the way this gun is. It has a very smooth double action pull and would make a perfect ladies or house gun.
It is setting in a gunshop now on consignment and it would be at least middle next week until I can get a pic.
Really not interested in trades right now, but you never know.
BountyHunter, those hammers were not "bobbed" by the armorers. They were factory supplied to law enforcement. I worked for a Ruger law enforcement dealer for a while and we ordered those hammers from Ruger and installed them in PD revolvers. Just a note, don't ever try to "bob" or drill a Ruger hammer or trigger. These parts are unbelievably hard.
