First off welcome to LRH, Since you are thinking about a sendero I will make this suggestion, choose the caliber you are most comfortable with, most are of the opinion the 300 is the best choice. I will not argue that point since I have both, I had a 7mm RM built and it shoots lights out, I then decided I wanted a 300 and was going to have one built until I had a chance to buy a new 5r 300wm. The RM has a 26" krieger barrel, jewel trigger set at 1.25lbs 700 action completely trued, HS precision stock, vias brake, and I just had the bolt fluted, skelatonized, and a new knob on handle work done by Kampfeld customs, Karl does an awesome job. The 5r I have just started to do some work on it, muzzle brake, jewel trigger, and a sako extracter, and Karl will do the bolt on this as well, that is about all it needs can't tell you how it shoots haven't shot it yet, but from what I have heard they are supposed to be shooters. The sendero's are pretty darn accurate right out of the box the only thing you may want to do is put a better trigger on it, if that is the way you go. All that being said the custom is my favorite rifle, because I designed it to my taste, and not anyone else's
