Remington Question

Those Tupperware stocks. I have 2 700 Rem. 338WM SS and 223 REM. Both came with Rem plastic stocks. They now wear H&S precision stocks. I have more in the stocks than I paid for the rifles. Most of those Tupperware stocks will not hold free float when the rifle is laying on the rest ready to fire. It took me a while to replace the 338WM stock. Set the 223 Rem. up with mounts, scope, and new trigger, Took to the range, zeroed it as good as possible. Shot 2 X 3 shot groups. Came home and ordered the H&S Stock that night. I have been very happy with the rifle since the stock was replaced.

I don't know much about the mountain rifles, but I have an older 700 7mag that was a factory DM rifle. I went with a McMillan hunter stock and and HS Precision DM and it works great. Feeds without issue. You should be good to go.
