Remington 721???

I got the model # wrong the reciever # is 42614 I looked it up and they were built just after WW2. I wonder how old is this rifle? he is thrilled with this rifle.
I don't think he will be to happy taking it into the woods.

Please excuse my last post, I made a mistake on the model #.
 
Providing it still has the original barrel, you need the barrel code(s).
They are located on the left side, just ahead of the receiver. They will be letters not numbers.

Be careful with those old 721s and 722s. The extractors are no longer available except for the belted mag bolts. A good 'smith can still fix you up though, if you break one.
