Anybody out there know anything about the Remington Model 700 XCR. Considering using it for a longer range rifle, and at some time trueing up the action and sticking a McMillan A-3, and Kreiger or Lilja barrel on it after I wear out the original. Wondered how good those stocks are (until I could afford something better), how straight remington actions are running these days, lug contact etc. I've had some real bad experiences with remington lug contact in the past, but then none of the others seemed any better. Not that its a big problem to fix anyway...just trying to get the latest scoop. Thanks.
