I was contacted several weeks ago from one of my good customers in Aussy land. He has just purchased a Rem 700 VTR 22-250 They have tried all sorts of different loads and it will not shoot at all, they checked the barrel and right ahead of the throat there is what appears to be some sort of ring or imperfection. They took it back to the dealer and they told him he ruined the barrel by not cleaning it correctly. They offered him 350.00 for the gun, he just paid over 1000.00 for. Suposedly they contacted the Importer and they dont want nothing to do with it. I told him to contact Rem direct and register a complaint. Obviously this is another factory defect. I heard of two other 338 Lapua's that were sent to a sherriff's department and the barrels were bad on them as well. Just more Remington Crap!
