Rem 700 and Ring Height?

I posted a similar question in Optics but got no bites...

I have a PSS and LTR that I plan to mount 30mm Leupolds to. If I go with a 40mm obj what Leupold ring height do I need? 50mm? Does this change any with 20 MOA bases?

I ask because I have got medium, high and super high as my answers to 50mm.

I use a set of Badger standards with a Leupold 40mm Obj and a set of medium highs for a 50mm NXS Obj.

Both are on Badger 20MOA bases and both have barrel profiles larger than that of the PSS/LTR.

I needed to note I intend to use Butler Creek flip-up covers also.
