Does Remington make these anymore?
Does any other company make a facotry 338 RUM?
Yes they make it in a 700 XCR II
That has a sporter weight barrel doesn't it?
yeah, I dont think they have ever made one that had anything but a sporter barrel.
Outside the custom shop, I believe you are correct.
They made Sendero's in .338RUM for awhile.
How could I have forgotten that??!? I stand corrected!
why would they stop making the sendero in 338 rum?
not enough demand; same as them being stingy with the lefty's
Of all the stupid thing that remington ever did, I think that discontinueing the .338 RUM in Senduro has gotta be on the short list. I looked and looked for one when I was new to LR, and up here in Canada they are stupid hard to find. I landed up going to the XCR and am happy with it, but wish it was a senduro.
Lack of foresight. Stupid remington. Now the .338 RUM is gonna eventually get phased out by the Lapua. Which is a shame because it fits standard actions way better.
DO they make any of the XCR 2 in Lefty...
Nope, the xcr was made for a while, but the xcr2 isn't. They only make the sps and cdl in left hand, with limited caliber options.
Kinda feels like I'm taking punch out of a punchbowl with a turd in it looking at the rem options.
