Keep in mind that excessive chamber clearance "at the shoulder" can leave you with a headspace separation. That means a jammed rifle (expecially likely with belted magnum calibers), and gives you a chance to see that big bear looking for revenge.

A jammed rifle is a very serious condition for most handloaders, and this is so easy to avoid. I recommend using the Digital Headspace Gauge. It's the best single tool available to help make YOUR handloads fit perfectly in YOUR particular chamber.
