Just finished some cold weather ( cold for GA 35 degrees ) testing with my standard 338 Edge. Group was a little sloppy ( driver ) but velocity was good. Using a Magneto Speed I was averaging 3023 fps. Reloader 33 is showing some promise.

H1000 91.5 gr 300 gr Berger OTM avg 2797 fps
Retumbo 93 gr 300 gr Berger OTM avg 2849 fps
Reloader 33 103 gr 300 gr Berger OTM avg 3023 fps

How much bullet jump? I tried rl33 in my lapua and got great velocity but es was nasty like 80 fps or more. I was jumping about .050 which is were the 300's shot best with h1000. I'm wondering if jumping with 33 is why my es is bad. Brass was the same batch used with h1000 the same day, all prepped together. Would love to get that extra 100+ fps increase if I could get some consistency out of it.

Check out Kirbys thread on his 338 ax I believe. He had terrible es results until he loaded the bullets at or on the lands, then it calmed down nicely, I know thats not what ya wanna hear as far as fitting in your mag though............
