Release Agent for JB Weld

Can anyone recommend a good release agent for JB Weld? I would like to use this product to bed my Seekins base to my receiver.

I use minwax paste wax for just about everything that needs to be released.

A can lasts for years and is easy to find when you want it.

Do you have any good technique to keep the bedding material out of the taps? I was thinking of using .75" long 8-40 screws coated in release agent to keep the taps clear.
