I have a K-14 .243 and would like to have a syn stock fitted for it. I am green to the long range game and the use of gunsmiths if anyone has any ideas I would be greatful.

The K-14 is essentially a Voere Shikar. Occasionally, you see those on Gunbroker. But, I have yet to see one on a decent synthetic stock although I did see one on a laminate.

You might ask Phil Koehne at KDF Home. They're still located in Seguin TX.

Also, there are a couple of the old smiths from the Klienguenther shop that now work for Hill Country Rifles in New Braunfels TX.

I spoke with them recently about rebarreling my K-14.
