Travis just re-barreled and accurized my 7 STW to a 7mm Mag. The accuracy is superb!

Here are the particulars:
Rem 700 action BP
Wyatt's extended box
Jewel trigger
Broughton LWLR, fluted 27'' Sendero taper barrel, 1-9 twist
DE 3- Port Muzzle break
Camo paint - H/S Sendero stock
DE Check piece

Shooting 180 Berger VLD's

I can't wait until this rifle arrives!

Glad you like it. Will be looking for some success pics from New Zealand for the website and wall board in the shop!

I switched to a 7mm mag because it seemed more practical for me to use a caliber on hunts where I can pretty much find ammo everywhere in the US and sometimes other countries in a pinch. I wanted a great, accurate midrange rifle with fairly mild recoil and for me, the 7mm mag fits the bill. If I need to step it up for Elk at long range, I use the 338's, Lapua and RUM, which are perfect in my opinion for LR Elk. The 7 STW was just in the middle of the 7mag and 338's.

This is just my opinion and it works for me.
