rail & rings for new Vortex viper x44/Savage 11 long range hunter?

Should I mount my Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44 on my new Savage 11 Long Range Hunter .308 with a rail type base? I have looked at the options on Optic Planet and it looks like I would need the 'round top' EGW type rail for short action Savage & then the 30mm rings. I have a choice in the rail of 0 or 20 MOA ( I was assuming the 20 MOA was the way to go?)
Then will the Burris Picatinney x tac rings mount on the EGW rail? and if so, what height rings will get the Vortex x44 off the barrel? Thanks much!

The EGW round 20moa rail would work very good with the low Burris XTR's.

If you went with the EGW HD low rail or the Weaver Tactical 20moa rails, you'd probably need the medium rings.

Alas those Vortex Vipers are gone so I got a Bushnell 6500 tac 4.5-30x50. will the low rings still work or do I need to go med? Thanks much!

I pm'd you back. The lows should work fine. The regular EGW's are pretty high.
