what I am wondering can QL figure in the pressure difference if a bullet is jammed into or xxxx off the lands for the predictions ? thank you
 
QuickLOAD certainly calculates pressure based on COAL. Longer COAL leaves more room in the case.

I haven't yet seen the necessary correction when the bullet hits the lands.

A good loading practise is to start your load workup with the bullet touching the lands and work back, shorten the COAL.
 
yes there is a default setting for touching. but like most things it is not a plug and play number the pressures vary a lot from touching to .020 off
 
Thank you, I really didn't think that it was in there obviously I currently don't have QL but I have looked at a lot of posted QL predictions and I don't think I have ever seen this included I am thinking that possibly in some cases having this information could make good use of a borderline too slow powder ,thanks
