Question about H1000 and 338 Lapua

I just received my 338 Savage FCP 338 and am about to work up loads starting with H1000. I have an 8# bottle bought within the last 5 months. I did a fairly extensive search on this site and came up with a starting load which is 89 gr. of H1000, 300gr Berger Hybrid, 215 primer, Lapua brass, .025 off lands. My question has to do with charge size. I understand, and have experienced first hand a change in both H1000 and Retumbo, requiring less powder over the last couple of years. Is 89gr. as a starting point Ok, or should I back off a couple of grains. Has anyone worked up loads with the most current lots of this powder. I'm looking for 2750-2800 FPS out of my 26" barrel. Thanks.
I owned your exact gun (110 FCP) and a 110 BA. I don't shoot Berger's but instead shoot 300 Sierra's. I started with 89 grains of H1000 and had absolutely no signs of high pressure and eventually settled in on 91 grains with good accuracy and velocity.

Shooting a Savage 110 FCP. My current load is 88.5g H1000, Lapua Senar 300g HPBT, CCI 250, Lapua case, 3.715 col. 2750ish fps, clover leaf holes @ 100 and on target (12" gong) @ 1050. I start getting ejector marks at 91.5g and stiff bolt at 92g.

I did have trouble with my scope rail coming loose a few time. A real buzz kill after a long drive to the shooting area only to realize the scope is rattling around! I didn't bed it, but I cleaned it well and used locktite. After 80-100 rounds, it seems to be okay now.
