Pressure "spikes" on Big Magnum Cartridges....

Re: Pressure \"spikes\" on Big Magnum Cartridges....

Military applications have typically used an insulating black sealant to eliminate galvanic corrosions between bullet and case which is why old mil ammo should have that seal broken by a touch of deeper seating before use. The liquid sealant turns to a solid with time whereas factory molly does not. Here in the humid South in summer the humnidity is so high that moisture in reloading is a factor. Good stuff on your belted magnum home page. Overbore

Have you thought about carbon fouling? (more shots more fouling)
