Are prairie dogs plentiful enough in Nevada to plan a trip from Southern california?

The closer to Las vegas the easier it will be to sell the trip to my family. Not being close to Las Vegas isn't a deal breaker. I don't really care where in Nevada I have to go so long as its worth the trip.

In a word- no.

I've seen marmot, gophers, squirrels, rabbits, and coyotes, but no prairie dogs. Especialy anywhere near Las Vegas.

+1. No p dogs near Vegas. Closest I know of is in northern AZ. Probably 4 hours from Vegas.
