i have a afactory rem 700VS stock in SA BDL that i need to get rid of to pay for my new A3.

It has the full length alum block that i have bedded with steel bed to fill in the imperfections of the block. This was just skim bedded from the rear tang to the back of the recoil lug. Those blocks have a lot of open space, so this was a big help.

perhaps JB won't mind if I field this one:

Marlow, the VS means 'varmint synthetic', and is the short action cousin of the Rem Sendero. The stock is H-S Precision's PVS02B, and more info can be seen here: http://hsprecision.com/psv02a.htm

The stock is designed to fit Remington's 5.5 Varmint Contour barrel. It does not have a cheekpiece, and features a narrower forend and slimmer (better IMHO) pistol grip area compared to the PSS stock (which is also made by H-S Precision).
