Joel, I'll be with bb when deer and elk hunting in ID. For the earlier bear part he'll be on his own. That is if he doesn't chicken out and go home due to the snow. He's gotta be lovin' this. Snows at 4450" and the hunt will be @ 5100 and above. Earliest in years. Even though I'll have tags bb will have dibs on shots and I'll try to document things as best I can. I have some really nifty bullet tests planned. He's shooting the 7 mm AM w/200s and I'm shooting the 270 AM w/169s. Seeing as I'm one of those shoot till they drop fellas and both rifles are single shots two simultaneous shots, one from each in slightly different places in the shoulder should prove interesting. That is unless one of us gets highly embarrassed. About bb's sore butt. If he'd turn that drag bag/shooting mat around the way it is designed he'd be more apt to hit the padding when flying in reverse. The longer unpadded section goes in front so that the rifle may be protected when layed down by prone sling shooters. He'll catch on when I lay mine out.;) The shorter back unpadded section keeps your feet out of the dirt/mud/snow. BTW, it comes with a wisk broom.:D Now he's packed a chain saw. I'll bum my EMT buddy's pack before I head out.;)
