what type powder should i buy for a 308 shooting 168 vld berger since there is no varget to be found thanks for the help

I just use Varget...Haven't tried any alternatives.

Anyone loading Bergers needs to get a Berger manual. For $30 it's WELL worth it. They include TONS of powder options for all calibers they list.

I use Varget for my 168gr Hornady bthp it should be a fairly similar load for the Bergers but I'd start around 42gr and work up. I use federal large rifle primers and 43gr of varget.

it will shoot a Five shot group as one Ragged hole at 200 yards all day. I had plans to try to 178 grain bullet but was so impressed with 168 grain bullet that I didn't even bother.

the rifle im shooting is a Remington SPS varmint with a 26 inch tube 1:12 twist.
