NZ Red Stag Update

    First of all a big ThanX to "Spanners" and the Mike Cole connection. As you can see it worked out well. One stag and one elk.

    The young ugly one (my son) is shooting a GA Precision in 300 WSM, The Older more dignified and good looking one (me) is shooting a Chris Matthews - LongShot Rifles LLC custom 280 rem in an AICS 2.0 stock

    We were about 30 minutes outside of Taumarunui bordering NF

    Cheers for that, i figured it was North Island somewhere. I used to do most of my hunting in the National Forest about 50 km's north of where you were, of course never saw any stags the size of the one you guy's got!
