How was your experience with Nikon warranty? I sent out 2 weeks ago a P-308 4-12x40 for a turret knob that fell off, I just received a brand new P-308 replacement. At the same time I sent out a Nikon 3-9x40 with no model name that wouldn't zero. I received a Monarch 3 2.5-10x42 yesterday. The 3-9x40 Nikon I couldn't tell you the history on, it came on a rifle that I bought. It would get close (within 2" of center) to zero but wouldn't zero. I tried with two boxes of bullets on two different occasions. The P308 was on a DPMS LR 308 it lost the screw that held the knob onto the turret after about 500 rounds. The scope held zero and glass was clear. In 2005 I bought a 5.5-16.5x42 Monarch UCC that has been amazing. I had it on my 300 Remington ultra mag, removed it when I sold the rifle. And then mounted to my 300 WinMag. 12 years later it still holds zero and I've never had a complaint about the BDC reticle. Sometime in 2012 someone at the range took my turret covers, I called Nikon and they sent me a set. Overall I'm satisfied with their product, the two encounters that I had were not severe. If either problem occurred in the field, it would not have interfered with a hunt. The overall experience with the warranty was awesome. I own two other brands, Leupold and Vortex. Both have equal the outstanding warranty, and I've encountered equally minor problems with both brands. I just thought I'd share my experience, and see what others have experienced.
