I just had a MB installed on my 300. The rifle currently have a PST 6-24x50 FFP on it now. I'm Picking up a NXS 5.5-22x50 tomorrow. Would you mount this optic on the rifle or would you keep the PST on it. The reason I ask is, I hear great things about Vortex's warranty and I've heard muzzle brakes are killer on scopes. This will be my first Nightforce and don't want to trash it right out of the gate.

No worries at all. I have been running NF scopes and muzzle brakes on magnum rifle for years with never an issue. I say what you heard is BS.

I'd be very suprised if you could break a Nightforce with a braked 300 mag. Nightforce scopes are about the toughest out there, and if you did manage to break it they'll fix it.

My 338 Lapua and Nightforce scope are tough.

You're not going to "trash" a Nightforce scope = they are about as tough as they get, period!!
