Got the new NF 2.5-10x42 Compact mounted up and trying it out. What a great compact scope !

Running it on a GA Precision Extreme Hunter in 6.5 SAUM

I have ran the 32mm version for years with no complaints at all. The new 42mm is loaded with great upgrades for sure.... Of course the new 42mm front objective, Side parallax adjustment, power throw lever, New Digillum digital illumination with choice of red or green illumination and NV compatible, high speed turrets, Zero Stop... just to name some.

Awesome! That will be a nice option for a lighter weight rifle. I love my 5.5-22, but its 32oz!

ya, same here... run all NXS scopes on other rifles and this Compact really fits the void for the lighter platform and same repeatability and reliability !

Good choice for hunting. I think several American optics companies are coming out with very good scopes.

I just got a Bushnell ERS 3.5 - 21 X50 with H59 reticle and Zero Lok turrets. Like yours probably is its mil-mil reticle and turrets. At only 13 inches long this ERS is "compact" for a long range competition scope. At $1,800. it is in the mid price range but of excellent quality.

It nearly gags me to say that $1,800. is only mid price in scopes but that's the way it is these days.

I was thinking this scope was what NF should be building when I bought my 2.5-10x32. I will say I have no complaints though, and don't plan to replace it. My rifle is light at just 6 3/4 lbs without scope, so putting a 19 oz scope may not make sense for some, but the quality of NF turrets more than justify it for me. If I decide one day to replace the NF it will be with Darrell Hollands version of the Schmidt Bender 3-12x42 Klassic with his ART reticle... If
