    Hi Guys,

Just got a newcon 1500 after reading quiet a few good reports on here. On a cloudy day it will read 900ish yards on 6ft diameter shrubs and 1300 on street sign, all was good. Then I tried it the other day in bright sun and it would pick any natural object at more than 150 a street sign at 250 300 max. Having never owned any type before is it normal or have I got a dud?.

I had a lrm 1200. It ranged awesome in perfect conditions, but in sunlight it wouldn't go across the street. On a cold overcast morning I hit over 1500 yards. But on warm sunny days it would struggle for 2-300 yard shots.

i have the 2000 model, haven't owned it for very long but with the limited experience i have, i'm very pleased so far. in bright sunshine, middle of the day i've registered over 1600 on houses. over 2200 in the rain off road signs. i would say you have a bad one and would try to get it replaced. even the good ones aren't so good some of the time.have heard of Swaro's getting sent back for a replacement.
