New to Coyote hunting in Louisiana

I will start hunting Coyote this year just after Deer season ends
Any tipps from preditor hunters in mostly woods lots? We dont have the vast open plans like out west. Our winters are not very cols so vegitation (grass) can be tall.
Also can LA resadents use eloctronic calls?
