New Savage clean-up

Just purchased 3 new savage rifles from Sportsman Warehouse. 2 -17HMR for my 2 daughters for Christmas ages 6 and 7. And 1 Longrange hunter in 338 Lapua Mag with accustock for myself. Any advice as to how to expedite the cleaning process. Is it cosmoline on these new Savages as I have at least 8 hours of cleaning and still unable to go to the range. I have tried Butch's ,Birchwood Caseys,KG13,Mineral spirits. My Best results have been with Hoppes gun oil and brass brush or Break-Free either having equal results. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated
