recreational deer stalker in southern Scotland; not really a long range stalker, but good to have the ability in case it's needed!
Comparative new-comer to stalking (five years) and absolute beginner to re-loading.
Mostly Roe deer, using Sako .243 and (since starting re-loading) Barnes TSX 85 grain.
Been visiting the forum for a while to glean wisdom and learn, mostly about reloading, so only seemed polite to register!
Currently using Lapua cases, CCI primers and H4350 with a 21 inch 1:10 twist barrel. Not sure what MV I should be aiming at - currently getting a whisker over 3000fps with 40 grains H4350 with no signs of XS pressure (Hodgdson list 40.5 grain as max and 3141fps).
