Hello. I'm in the champlain valley region of upstate NY. I'm 57 and semi-retired operating engineer. I'm wanting to get involved in long(er) distance shooting. I'm a 400yd guy at the moment but would like to get into slapping coyotes at 7-800 yds. I'm just now putting together a fast flat 30. I currently have a NIB rem 700 SPS in 300 win mag. Just wondering if it would be worth the cost/effort to convert it to 300 RUM. This gun might go as a backup elk gun on occassion but will see most of its action as a coyote killer. Any suggestions?
