I'm a staunch advocate of immediately replacing the Walker triggers with an aftermarket trigger and not even messing with Remington because they want to put the X Mark Pro in them and that IS presently under a big recall for misfire problems it's causing. That is their way to get out of this debacle by not making a recall that would notify the general public who has one that the triggers need replacing.
You need to read a little closer and comprehend what I was referring to. My comment you quoted was actually saying that the way the OP described how he carries his rifle with a cartridge in the chamber with it not cocked and the bolt down is dangerous. The other part of my comment was in reference to those not thinking that there is any problem with the Walker triggers in the Remingtons. I'm a staunch advocate of immediately replacing the Walker triggers with an aftermarket trigger and not even messing with Remington because they want to put the X Mark Pro in them and that IS presently under a big recall for misfire problems it's causing. Remington is not actually making a recall of the Walker triggers, but instead will be requiring those who want theirs replaced to join the class action lawsuit settlement to have the newer X Mark Pro put in. That is their way to get out of this debacle by not making a recall that would notify the general public who has one that the triggers need replacing. IMHO it's just more baloney and a way for them to save millions of dollars while saying they have taken care of the situation if anyone else has a misfire and hasn't replaced the trigger.
