Anybody have any data for this round. Would like to try Retumbo or similar burn rate with a 300 Sierra. Any help is great as the gun gets here next week. 34 inch Lilja, minimuim saami spec chamber and no long throat. Not much in the manuals to go by. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif TIA Dave

Now that I typed all that out for you I strongly suggest that you purchase a reloading manual this is to much typing and double checking. It is a good idea anyway to have reloading manuals available if your getting into reloading. I have a reloading manual from almost every manufacture.

For the 300 grain Sierra I would suggest starting at 100 grains of H1000 and working up.

you must have a govt job to have that mich time to type out relaoding data

So, Is the 3338-378 more of a hunting round than a target round?

What's th ebbl length you got on yours daveosok

Rameses he is away from his computer, but no he doesn't have a 338-378 he just gave you the reloading data from most all of his manuals. It makes a excellent hunting round if you can tame it.

Thanks Weaverism, I assume that is a starting load. Did see a load suggestion from DC that called for 115 grains of WC 872 and I am trying to get some of it to try also.
