Need load info on 30-378 WM.

I have a friend that wants to load for a 30-378 Weatherby Magnum and use a 180 Barnes X bullet to Elk hunt with. He is just now in the process of getting the rifle so I don't know anything about it. What has been your experience with this caliber and what loads have you used?

With either the 180 Barnes TSX or the 180 Hornady IB I load 111gr Retumbo and use Fed 215 primers just over 3400fps 26" barrel.
Start at 107 or 108 gr and work up if no pressure signs.

I use the exact same load as James H with the exact performance. I just use Accubonds instead. I think Retumbo is a great powder for that gun.
