Need Help!! Replacing stock on Remington 700 Vtr .22-250

I am looking to replace the stock on my remington 700 .22-250 vtr since it is not free floating nor embedded. I was wanting to know if a heavy barrel bdl replacement stock from bell and carlson or h.s. would work. Also, hoping to get some help on getting the most accurate one possibly. Thanks for the help in advance

I put an HS precision on my 700 SPS and it fit like a glove. I've also used Mcmillan stocks I have the A-2 and I prefer the HS. I got the short action stock with the palm swells and bull barrel channel.
