Need 338 Edge data for WC 872

Anyone worked any with WC 872 for the Edge? I have a supply and would like to give it a try. Also have some AA8700 that is a possibility. Anyone worked any of it? Thanks

Its WAY to slow burning for the Edge, even with the 300 gr SMK. I am sure it would work but your velocity will be very low compared to other powders and the carbon fouling will be extreme.

A burn rate in the range of H-1000, RL-25, Retumbo, Ramshot Magnum are about perfect for this chambering.

AA8700 would also be to slow burning. You will run out of case long before you get to good working pressures and when working with Ball powders, that results in extreme carbon fouling.

Thanks for the reply. I will go with the H1000 and avoid trying to re-invent the wheel. The object of this rifle is to make holes, not experimentation.
