As I seem to get older every year I have seen a lot and have come to the conclusion that anything mechanical CAN fail!We increase the chances by adjusting something we are not fully aware of and how it functions and how each adjustment can effect other things like on a friends mod 70 the safety was super hard to move after he adjusted his trigger way too light. I have seen it on cars and trucks, tractors and guns. Someone said that Winchester 70 triggers don't fail.My best friend has a hole in his cabnit/pantry and several dishes and roof due to model 70 going off when moving the safety. He adjusted it to such a light pull that it effected everything else. While moving the safety off to show me how hard the safety was to move the 300 win mag went bang and nearly deafened all three of us. There is a book on triggers and I have mine loaned out but it explains everything about all triggers and what not to do as well as what to do. The gunsmiths know these things but the rest of us need to educate ourselves if we choose to make trigger adjustments. Just my 2 cents. Old Rooster
