hi guys i just finished up my custom mauser chambered in 243. i built this rifle from the ground up only starting with just the receiver. it has a full adjustable cheek rest and recoil pad. if i were to make a guess i would say i have about 100 hours in the project.

parts list,

black walnut, curly maple, and thin slice of cherry
A&B 24" stainless barrel
Timney trigger with side safety
savage bolt handle
full scope rail
leupold 6.5-20x40 VXIIILR
glass bedding
free floating barrel

Nicely done, sir!

Love the M'98 sporters (have 6 myself, built 4 of those, and building two more now)!

Enjoy shooting it - range report is a must!

If a rifle can be sexy....THAT IS IT!

How does it shoot? does it matter?

So how does it shoot?

after shooting 2 shots and getting it close to the 10 ring i when right to a 3 shot 100 yard grouping. at this point the gun has only shot 5 bullets threw it barrel.

this is a pic of my range from the bench the last target is at 560 yard where i was shooting 8" floor tiles

this is a 2 shot group at 400 yards

now keep in mind these shots were made with off the shelf federal 100gr hunting bullets the ones that are $20.99. i cant wait to start hand loads.
